When I connect my Lenovo S10-3t to my HD TV with a VGA cable, I get a screen resolution of 1920×1080 – without a problem. If I do the same with my LC display – a HP w2448hc – Windows 7 only offers 1680×1050 – although the intel driver seems to correctly identify the display as being able to display at a resolution of 1920×1200.
Changing the monitor driver to “Generic 1920×1200 LCD Panel” didn’t work either. I am running out of ideas. Anyone?
Update: A quick test with Ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition reveals, that the hardware is able to be set to 1920×1200. Promising (that is supports the resolution). Annoying (that windows doesn’t). Intel might intentionally limit the driver for the GMA3150?
